Elegies 54 below

though the show doesn't open in paris until march 22 (through june 2), it's already cast and they performed the closing number at a benefit recently … check this out

i was very pleased to be interviewed in columbus on “writers talk” which is produced at ohio state … though mostly about the premiere production of “the last smoker in america” there, this ranges over a lot of my other work … the host doug dangler asked such intelligent questions and had really done his homework …

poem: bittersweet

this was written for the second big company of elegies … which performed at the rapp arts center in the east village in 1990 … having just directed the show at the boston conservatory of music with an amazing cast of students, faculty, alumni and staff, i looked this up and felt it captures many of the same emotions i felt doing the show again…
